The Green Island Coral Nursery is located in the grounds of Marineland Melanesia Crocodile Habitat, and is an initiative of the next generation of the Craig family.

Here you can learn about how coral can be propagated and grown in a controlled environment, which creates a sustainable supply of corals for the marine aquarium trade. There are daily guided tours at 2.15pm, where you can learn about the different types of corals, their growth habits and the environmental factors that affect their health and growth. As well as being educational, this tour provides some fantastic photographic opportunities. You will be amazed at the beauty and vibrancy of the corals’ many colours. The tour lasts 30 minutes. Numbers are limited to just 25 people. Bookings are essential. Adults are $18 and Children are $10 (4-14 years). Please Note: Entry to the Coral Nursery is not included in the Marineland Melanesia ticket price and vica versa, but both can be purchased for additional cost.
