Marineland Melanesia is unique. Stepping through the shipwreck gift shop entrance, you’ll enter a place dedicated to showcasing and celebrating some of the creatures and corals of the Great Barrier Reef, treasures from the days of sail, oceanic tribal art and huge, live crocodiles, all presented in a safe and enclosed rainforest garden setting. As our guests, you are welcome to take your time and explore all that we offer throughout your visit and the day. We’ve been owned and operated by the Craig Family since 1971, with four generations still living and working here, proudly presenting their passions to visitors from around the world.
Meet Cassius the largest crocodile in captivity in the world, and one of over 15 crocodiles here. See him all day, plus two interactive wildlife shows, at 10.30am and 1.30pm.
Billy is our resident Hawksbill Turtle and this is your chance to see one of these amazing creatures up close. Viewing all day. Turtle time presentations at 10:20am and 1:20pm.
Our range of over 10 beautiful aquariums are naturally lit by the sun and showcase a variety of colourful clown fish (nemo), blue tangs (dory) and more.
Explore our extensive collection of tribal art and treasures from the days of sail, with a focus on the Southern Gulf Region of Papua New Guinea.
Add on a visit to our Coral Nursery (optional upgrade) to learn about coral biology, coral propagation and more.
Our Gift Shop is full of treasures and unique souvenirs to remember your time on the Great Barrier Reef. Jewellery, collectibles and much more.
