Marineland Melanesia Green Island - Open 7 Days

Marineland Melanesia is open 7 days a week, from 9am to 4pm on Green Island. Your entry ticket provides all day access to all our exhibits, including our crocodiles, sea turtle and aquariums, so you can come and go as you like.

Our audio guides provide the freedom to explore at your own pace, providing a wealth of information on all you see and featuring original interviews with the owners and crocodile experts. The ticket also includes two 40-minute animal presentations, which start at 10.20am and 1.20pm each day and include Turtle Time, the Crocodiles and Cassius. More on this below. Adults $30. Children $15 (aged 4 – 14 years old). Family Pass $75 (2 Adults and 2 Children). Children aged under 5 years old are free with an accompanying adult. Tickets can be purchased on the day, at our reception and gift shop, or booked through our socials with payment on arrival.

Marineland Melanesia

Your ticket provides unlimited access throughout the day and includes the audio guide and animal presentations. Check your glass bottom boat and in-water activity times, to help plan your day.

Morning Presentation

10.20am – 11am. Great for Reef Rocket guests (depart to Cairns at 12pm), Great Adventures Outer Reef Tour (departs at 11.30am), Big Cat and Great Adventures guests, with afternoon activities.

Afternoon Presentation

1.20pm – 2pm. Great for Great Adventures guests (depart to Cairns 2.30pm and 4.30pm), Big Cat (departs to Cairns at 3.45pm) and Big Cat and Great Adventures guests, with morning in-water activities.

Coral Nursery

The Coral Nursery is located within Marineland Melanesia. Entry to the nursery is not included in the ticket price and must be purchased separately. 30 minute guided tours at 2.15pm.

Getting to Green Island

There are three companies that provide day tours and transfers between Cairns and Green Island. Great Adventures, Big Cat and Ocean Free. All depart from Cairns’ Marlin Marina.

Shopping and Souvenirs

Visit our fabulous Gift Shop which stocks an extensive range of merchandise, jewelry and souvenir items, including saltwater crocodile teeth, corals, collectibles and more.

We are located on Green Island, part of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park and about 28km offshore from Cairns, in Queensland. There are numerous reef boats that provide transfers to and from Cairns and Green Island every day. Marineland Melanesia caters to people of all ages and abilities. Our paths are sealed and suitable for prams, wheelchairs and wheelie-walkers.

We are located on Green Island, in the beautiful Great Barrier Reef, just a short boat ride from Cairns and five minute stroll from the Green Island jetty.

Marineland Melanesia Crocodile Habitat is open 7 days a week, from 9am to 4pm. Your admission ticket provides you with entry throughout the day, so you can come and go as you please.
